Pastor Hans Overduin began his work as minister of Chilliwack FRC in late
January, 1996 and after thirteen and half years of service among us preached his
farewell service on August 9, 2009. He will take up a new calling serving
as minister of the Calgary FRC beginning in September. We look to the Lord to
provide for pastor and family and for us as congregation with this change in all
our lives. The LORD knows all our needs and with Him help is found, indeed, “counsel,
sound wisdom, understanding, and strength”(see Proverbs 8:14), in whatever
the cares and challenges, sorrows and joys that we may have. We pray for God’s
Holy Spirit strength and blessing on the worship services today.
